Independence Day Parade
Three weeks of hard work by the teachers and students at CBS have once again resulted in a wonderful demonstration of the school's multi-cultural spirit in the Independence Day Parade. We were a little short on flag bearers this year due to a few students who didn't make it to the starting point on time and a few of our flags (representing the home countries of our teachers) had to stay packed in the box. The flags led the parade followed by the marching band, who had learned some new rythm and routines and looked really good in their uniforms complete with their new white capes flying in the breeze. Our Mayan Serpent featured again this year with a new head (the mice got to the old one) followed by the baton twirlers, pom-pom girls, traditional dancers, little Indians, little proffesionals and our recently formed Karate class. Here are a few of the photos for your information and enjoyment.
